To create an exciting visual identity for the 2017-18 NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Annual Report which could be art-worked and printed to high standard in tight timeframe and to win the confidence of the marketing team during a very important project for the organisation.


The NHS Hull CCG approached us to quote their 2017-18 Annual Report, we relished the opportunity to work with a new client so quickly produced a series of visuals and a quote to give an idea of how the report could look and to open discussions to carry the project forward. We were invited in for a meeting to discuss the project further and to explore how the initial designs proposed could be translated into a visual language to support the written copy content which was available but changing daily. We felt the scale and shifting sands of the report and accounts content would benefit from using a project management platform to share ideas and discuss changes so we deployed Basecamp to collate visuals from our side and the client could collate copy and amends on theirs. Initially we proposed to design the cover and first section of the document to give confidence we were on the right track and to expand the design for most eventualities. This was well received and our internal design team divided up the project and set about building the 100+ page document in preparation for sign off and print within a 4 week window.
