Tigers Trust Arena Branding

New visual identity to celebrate the community sport hub’s exciting next chapter.

Tigers Trust

Design and concept creation in keeping with the current branding

Printed custom wallpaper, foamex, diabond, vinyl wrapping and window graphics

In 2020 The Tigers Trust approached us to work on some preliminary designs for an internal branding project. For a while, the team had wanted to revamp its Arena home with a fresh new identity, but the timing was never quite right until the pandemic hit.

We were tasked with injecting some character inside the Arena, as it was looking tired and needed a revamp. But it needed much more than a lick of paint. The Tigers Trust wanted the internal branding to tell people who they were and what they were about. They wanted to celebrate the club’s history along with the charity’s identity.

They wanted to make their mark and they needed a cohesive scheme to do that.

Having worked with The Tigers Trust for over five years on various design projects (and being big Hull City AFC fans too!) we knew this brief was going to be right up our street. It was an honour to be involved with such a landmark project and we were all excited to get stuck in.

The project involved designing large-scale wall graphics that would be printed on a variety of mediums including custom wallpaper, foamex, vinyl wrapping and window graphics. The design required immense attention to detail. One wall alone is 20m x 4m, so ensuring the graphics all fit correctly around things like light switches and window frames was certainly a challenge!

Whilst discussing the brief with the client, we soon realised we could do so much more than wall dressings. We recommended external window graphics too, as well as table graphics featuring players’ numbers from Hull City AFC’s history. The Trust’s vans were also updated with new vehicle livery to match.

The whole job is beautiful not only in it's execution but in it's position in the community. The Trust now have a place they can truly call home and we're please we've been able to play our part.

Gemma Hare, Tigers Trust Marketing & Communications Executive said “We knew we could trust Umber Creative to bring our vision to life. We wanted to give our Arena an identity, a place our team and participants would be proud of and a space to celebrate our people, our work and our values. Kevin and the team were helpful from start to finish, with new ideas and were approachable throughout the process. The Tigers Trust Arena now feels like ‘home’ with a new lease of life. Thank you to the Umber Creative team for helping us make that happen!”
