(Challenge)
Our task was to revamp both the look and the navigation of Hawk Furniture's website, to better reflect their products and support their desire to elevate their offering and differentiate themselves from suppliers offering lower quality imported products.
We were to create a bespoke content management system which allows Hawk Furniture to easily add, edit and delete products and their supporting assets (downloadable images and/or 3D files). When Hawk Furniture first approached us, they were relying on Google Drive to share product images with their stockists. This wasn’t a secure or ideal long-term solution. They needed a more professional system that would allow them to upload resources directly to the website and keep them secure behind a password-protected area.
(Approach)
We used an image-led approach with our design in order to really show off the catalog of products, alongside subtle animations to convey a sense of quality and modern design. We separated product categories from collections and created dedicated sections on the homepage to direct customers to the respective sections.
We created a system to host the product resources on Amazon S3 Buckets and have them connected to the correct products in the website database to facilitate the password protected stockist download area.
(Outcome)
The new website provides Hawk Furniture with a professional, future-proof platform that not only elevates their brand but also simplifies the way they share resources with stockists. The bespoke CMS gives their team full control over product management and asset distribution. By combining an image-led design with clear navigation, the site showcases Hawk’s craftsmanship while making it easier for customers to explore collections and categories. The end result positions Hawk Furniture as a high-quality UK manufacturer, reinforcing their distinction from mass-produced imports and supporting their long-term growth.
