challenge
Rescue a struggling website and help High Storrs School to realise better working practice to unlock the potential in their marketing collateral.
approach
High Storrs School first contacted us to help when their Wordpress website had begun to struggle and cause major issues. We quickly built a makeshift website to keep them online but it was always the plan to meet their team and set about designing a new permanent site with a root and branch change of direction to help meet the changing needs of the school.
At the same time we were asked to look over the a course directory for the school 6th form, which was proving a headache for the marketing team to collate, manage and print in house. The old document was a mixture of individual departments of the school doing their own thing with a final larger document being printed in-house on the school colour copier which was both labour and budget intensive.
With both jobs we wanted High Storrs to see the benefit of a unified design process that allowed the school to shine in the best light possible. We designed both the website then the school prospectus with this in mind and guided the client through the journey highlighting where cost and time could be saved to benefit their budget and dramatically improve the way the school presented itself through its marketing collateral.
outcome
Umber Creative saved High Storrs School time and budget whilst raising the standards of all their outward facing collateral. Through smart use of technology, print buying and design we gave High Storrs School the tools to successfully sell the school offering, meet Ofsted's requirements and increase impact.
